Henok Mehari is a celebrated singer, producer, guitarist and pianist. In 2006, he founded the Mehari Brothers Band with his siblings Robel, who is a Yared Music School graduate, Lwam and Halal. The band has been in existence for ten years, and during that time they have performed alongside most of Ethiopia’s best artistes. The quartet has pitched up in dozens of concerts and festivals in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa over the years. They have also performed alongside international icons such as Bono of U2 and Grammy Award Winner Angelique Kidjo.



MBB has drawn crowds as large as 15,000 people and even performed with one of the Ethiopia’s best, Teodros Tadesse. They have toured and performed around twelve cities in Ethiopia as well as seven states in the US. They have performed in Kenya, Tanzania, UAE, Israel, Sweden, Belgium, and France.



Henok Mehari has produced songs for MBB, two of his own albums and those of many other artistes. He has further written numerous songs and produced more than thirty singles as well as working on different movie soundtracks.



Starting out in gospel, Henok Mehari has been involved in music since the age of 11. By 18-years old, he had already started playing the piano and was composing different gospel songs for his choir. He graduated top of his class from the Yared Music School, and has worked with many of prominent Ethiopian bands including Afro Sound and Zion Band.
