Vanessa Hau Mdee also known as Vee Money is a singer, songwriter, rapper, TV presenter and Radio host from Tanzania. She is a contemporary R&B, Hip hop and Bongo Flava artist. Vanessa was the first Tanzanian MTV VJ in 2007. Vanessa has been nominated for Best African R&B and Soul and won Best Female Artiste in Eastern Africa at the All African Music Awards in 2014.
Before she started singing, Vanessa was a TV and radio personality. Vanessa broke into the music scene after doing a collaboration with Tanzania’s A.Y on the single “Money”. She later came up with her single “Closer” which was an instant hit.
Vanessa advices the youth that their dreams are valid and that anything is achievable.
