Trina Mungai is a jolly, outgoing, hardworking and very enthusiastic lady about life. Music has always been her first love. She has sang for both national and International artists on Coke Studio African season 2 and 3. As her talent developed, she has got great opportunities like singing alongside Vivian Green, Israel Houghton, Deitrick Haddon and Kirk Franklin. “Such big leagues right? *flips hair*”, the sassy singer jests. Her talent has been recognized nationally as well with artists like Neema Ntalel, Kanjii Mbugua, Rigga including her in their concerts because of her talent and personality that shines through, so much that it makes even strangers want to be her friend. She was 2nd runners up in Kenya in the Airtel Trace Music Stars 2015 Challenge. Her first single (Pale Pale) hit radio stations and social media already. She has just finished recording her second track which should be out in 2015.
At a very tender age of ten while in church, Trina discovered her love for music when she could barely even figure out a math equation. She went on a 10-month tour with Safaricom Live Tour in 2013 to sing for the top recording artists from Kenya including P-Unit, Octopizzo, Kidum and many others. With all the experience and exposure, she is now building her own brand and branching out as a young upcoming solo artist. She is an aspiring young fashion blogger with inspirations that flow from Alicia Keys, Dian Von Fusternberg, Alexander McQueen, and many other fashion icons like Kenyan trend setters: This Is Ess, Joy Kendi and From Curves With Love.
